Knowing Jesus – Making Jesus known
What Does The Bible Say It Takes To Get To Heaven?
First, you need to know the bad news. The bad news is we have all done wrong and are guilty of disobeying God. The Bible calls this disobedience sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” . . . (Romans 3:23)
The punishment for sinning against God is death and eternal seperation from Him in hell.
For the wages of sin is death . . . (Romans 6:23)
(God) will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. Those will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the Glory of His Power.
They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might. (2 Thessalonians 1:9)
Are you ready for some good news?
In His great love, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die and take the punishment for our sins!
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. (Romans 14:9)
Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
Not one person can get to heaven on the basis of their good deeds.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – – and not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – – not by works so that no man can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
To get to heaven, a person mush place their faith (trust) in Christ alone for salvation of the forgiveness of of sins.
Yet to all that received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)
“everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins”. (Acts 10:43)
Is there any reason why you would not want to trust Jesus to save you from your sins and give you eternal life?
Mark your calendars for these great events coming up.
